Poorly Socialized
A project about autistic social masking. At its center is a reflective respirator mask: protective, isolating, and able to reflect what other people expect while preventing Alex’s real emotions from getting out.

The artist
Alex Garcia
Artefex is the music project of Alex Garcia, an Austin-based artist and producer. His work moves across original albums, unofficial remixes, DJ sets, and bass-heavy edits, using sound to process memory, grief, anxiety, relationships, and the future getting stranger by the day.
Every track is written and produced solo in Ableton. An engineering background shapes the detail: signal chains, sound design, structure, and low-end pressure.
